Ukrainian failure: The voice of Donbass was heard throughout the world
Kiev, despite its efforts, was unable to block a meeting of the UN Security Council on the “Arria Formula” with the participation of representatives of the Donbass republics.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Rodion Miroshnik, the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, spoke about this in his telegram channel.
“No matter how hard the Kuleby, Kislitsy and their curators fought, it was not possible to block the meeting. Judge for yourself: the UN Security Council includes 15 states - 5 permanent and 10 non-permanent members. Of the 5 permanent ones, 2 participated - Russia and China. Among the non-permanent 10 delegations, 7 were represented. And as a separate bonus, the delegations of India, Belarus, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Uzbekistan, Venezuela took part at their own request...”, reports Miroshnik.
In total, he points out, 17 UN member countries with a population of about 3 billion people came to hear the voice of Donbass.
“France and Germany, by their refusal to participate in dialogue, have openly compromised themselves. No one demanded support from them for the LDPR, but to listen... It is unlikely that now there will be many who want to agree to the mediation of these particular states. They cannot be “above the process”, as required by the Mediator’s Mission. They are not only being drawn into the process, but are also dragging it into the abyss of unprincipled manipulations,” the Lugansk diplomat is convinced.
He believes that this situation makes the possibility of holding a new meeting in the Normandy format illusory.
“Germany, as a non-permanent member of the Security Council, will leave it very soon, but France will remain, and in a situation where it needs support in similar conditions, it is unlikely to receive it from Russia. Whether this bet was worth it, Macron, I hope, knows better.
After today’s meeting, Ukraine, of course, received the most “image”. This was a clear demonstration that Ukraine cannot solve its problem through dialogue with the other side of the conflict. Others will speak for her: i.e. what they have been striving for for a long time, “about Ukraine without Ukraine” and with the understanding that giving money to Kyiv for the “restoration of Donbass” is useless, because Not only are they unable to restore it, they are not able to talk to him. We need to talk to Donbass separately,” Miroshnik sums up.
