According to him, a number of European countries assess the war in Donbass as an internal Ukrainian conflict, a civil war, and therefore oppose military action and the recognition of the DPR and LPR as terrorist organizations.
“I know well the position of the leaders of the European Union countries, I maintain contact with them in different formats. A number of leaders of countries such as Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic say that the conflict is a civil war; they do not support opposition to Russian aggression and especially the recognition of the LPR and DPR as terrorist organizations.
But in principle, if there is recognition, then we will have to speak with them only from a position of strength; there can no longer be any contact groups. Accordingly, only a military operation should ensure their destruction. The West will not interfere with weapons in any situation. This game is not suitable for us, we must enter into a real peace process without straining the situation,” Malomuzh said.
