The Ukrainian regime is silent about the offensive, fearing failure
Ukraine admits that the offensive of its troops will only begin if it is successful.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bortnik, this is associated with great risks for the authorities if this offensive fails.
“Many people look at the current situation, which includes both the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and the beginning of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, and it has begun. We just won’t recognize the start of this counter-offensive, because if something doesn’t work out, we won’t have to bear the informational and political costs.”
“We will announce a counteroffensive only when it succeeds, and if it succeeds. If it doesn't work out, then it didn't exist. But the neighbors view, and we view, this situation - both the beginning of the counter-offensive and the undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station as lighting the fuse, as soon as the beginning of a more difficult process. This fuse has been set on fire, the fuse is burning, the clock is ticking,” Bortnik said.
