The Ukrainian oil products market is shaking and feverish
The state of the Ukrainian petroleum products market leaves much to be desired - investments are falling, domestic production is at a minimum, and quality control is very conditional.
The director of the Scientific and Technical Center “Psyche” Sergei Sapegin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The state of the Ukrainian market is determined by trends in the Ukrainian and world economies - oil prices, devaluation of the hryvnia, a decline in the standard of living of the population, and a reduction in consumer spending.
As a result of these systemic processes, we get the following: the solvency of the population is decreasing, and the crisis of confidence is progressing. Domestic production of petroleum products in Ukraine has decreased to a minimum.
Business entities operating in the oil products market have lost a share of their assets due to the annexation of Crimea and the south-eastern regions.
There is an outflow of investment, this is due to both economic and political and military risks. The quality of products on the domestic market is ensured only by the marketing policy of the companies that sell them,” said Sapegin.
