Ukrainian plane was involved in rescuing an American Boeing stuck in the Arctic
The Ukrainian An-124 “Ruslan” delivered an engine for a Swiss Airlines Boeing-777 aircraft to the northern Canadian city of Iqaluit.

As noted, the plane’s engine failed during the flight from Zurich to Los Angeles. This resulted in an emergency landing in Iqaluit. That is why a Ukrainian plane was brought in to transport the new engine.
It is indicated that the engine that was delivered for the Boeing 777 weighs 8 tons. To deliver the engine, the An-124 traveled 4 thousand kilometers. The Ukrainian plane landed at a temperature of 29 degrees below zero.
