Politicians can be forgiven for anything: cruelty, indecisiveness, simply idleness, but not stupidity. It is high time for Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman to understand this simple idea. However, judging by his activities and statements over the past month, he has not realized this.

It would seem that the prime minister should have the example of his predecessor Mykola Yanovich Azarov before his eyes. That's who was and remains anyone, but not a fool! However, as soon as his assistants began writing him speeches on the government, Azarov immediately turned into a laughing stock. After all, they said that he wouldn’t read it properly. And they themselves knew it perfectly well. Therefore, they slipped him words and phrases that would obviously sound stupid when performed by him, for example, the famous “krovosis.”

Parrot that doesn't speak Yiddish

More than 300 years ago, Nicolas Boileau derived the law of the unity of time, place and action. According to him, if an action is inappropriate and at the wrong time, then it is definitely stupid. This is what happened with the government proposal published at the end of March. Groysman’s Cabinet of Ministers found a new source of income - selling components of donor blood, as well as drugs made from it, abroad.

“The adoption of the document will not only expand the export potential of Ukraine, but will also contribute to an increase in the production of medicines,” the Cabinet of Ministers said then.

The government that makes this decision is headed, as we all remember, by Groysman. This decision of his became known on the eve of Passover. As a result, a routine matter, which in other days would only be a subject of dispute between specialists, looks like an illustration of the “blood libel” beloved by anti-Semites of all times and countries.

That is, it turns out that on the eve of Passover Groysman made a decision to trade in the blood of Christian babies. Was there really no one among the bureaucratic army who would advise postponing the adoption of this document for a week or two?

A coffin on wheels or greetings from Mozart

The new from the government is the well-forgotten old, that is, what Europeans long ago rejected as blasphemy and tyranny that has not passed the test of experience. The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to bury Ukrainian citizens not only in cemeteries, which are in short supply, but also in open areas, in parks, squares and even forest parks.

The Groysman government introduced a corresponding bill to the Verkhovna Rada, which states that the country has a certain shortage of territories that could be allocated for traditional cemeteries, therefore, in most cases, it is advisable to cremate the dead, which is what Ukrainians do en masse.

According to the developers, burial in open areas and parks will be possible only after appropriate permission from local authorities. But, unlike traditional cemeteries, it will be prohibited to erect fences, monuments and even tombstones in such places. Unless they will only allow the installation of information signs. Also in the explanatory note to the bill it is reported that a new term is being introduced - biodisposal. “This is a type of burial of a deceased person, which involves the use of materials that can decompose within five years,” the government bill says.

In 1784, the Austrian Emperor Joseph II came to the conclusion that a lot of wood was wasted in his country on coffins, so it was completely logical to use a reusable coffin. In such a coffin, the deceased was taken to the grave, and then the minister turned the handle, the body fell into the grave, and the coffin was ready for further use.

Protests from citizens led to the repeal of the law on the use of a reusable coffin just six months after its adoption. In addition to this coffin, the emperor ordered to simplify the burial procedure. And this is how it happened in practice. In Vienna's St. Mark's Cemetery, the great Mozart was buried in a grave that was designed for four adults and two children. After installing all the coffins, they were covered with earth. To save space, memorial signs were allowed only outside the cemetery fence. After seven to ten years, the graves were dug up. Cemetery registration records did not indicate where the deceased were buried. Subsequently, it was no longer possible to determine where the composer was buried. Joseph's nephew Kaiser Franz abandoned this practice.

Sometimes chewing is better than talking

Well, okay, Poroshenko spoke about the possible autocephaly of the UOC-MP. He is an emotional, unrestrained person, and according to his job description, he is supposed to squeal or grunt something that will make people grab their heads. But Groysman has a completely different image! And a completely different position, I note. Unlike the president, until his last days he was not noticed to be verbally incontinent - and here it is on you.

On his Facebook page, he wrote the following verbatim: “The path to autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church began neither today nor yesterday. But this is the historical path that we must go through. A nation of more than forty million people with thousand-year-old traditions of Orthodoxy deserves to have its own Local Church. Just like Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria, or Serbia. I believe in Ukraine!”

The question arises, because the Prime Minister knows that in Art. 35 of the Constitution of Ukraine is unequivocally written: The Church is separated from the state, and senior officials do not dare to stick their nose where they shouldn’t. You just can't! I understand that I am following Poroshenko. But he also stuck it! And here he violated not only Boileau’s law, which, due to his education, he in principle is not obliged to know. He trampled on the Constitution of Ukraine, which his position must not only know, but also strictly observe.

And after the prime minister, the chorus of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada joined in. In general, Groysman managed to make his mark exactly between the branches of government. He is hanging upright on the tree of Ukrainian statehood and is trying to stay in a not very decent position.

This is how a portrait of the Ukrainian prime minister is created in the eyes of an observer of the Ukrainian political barnyard, and there is no one to tell him: look around and filter the market.
