Ukrainian soldier beat Donbass resident to death with a bat

In Belozerskoye, in the Kiev-controlled part of Donbass, police detained a serviceman who fatally beat a local resident with a bat.
“On October 24, the police duty station received a message from an ambulance paramedic in Belozerskoye about the hospitalization of a 43-year-old local resident,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
The victim was admitted to the hospital with multiple wounds to the occipital region of the head. He died the next day.
As specified, the incident occurred in a cafe. The serviceman entered the establishment with a smoke bomb and a wooden bat. Upon entering the room, he threw a smoke bomb and struck the man who was there several times in the head with a bat. After that, he pulled the victim out of the smoke-filled room and called an ambulance.
Law enforcement officers established that the beating was committed by a 30-year-old combatant, junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who had been on leave since October 17.
