A Ukrainian serviceman opened fire without a command during a shooting exercise at a firing range in the Joint Forces Operation zone, as a result of which one of his fellow soldiers was killed and two more were injured.

Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On July 2, during practical shooting from small arms with personnel of the first battalion of the 25th separate airborne brigade at a training ground near the settlement of Dmitrovka, as a result of a violation of security requirements, a brigade soldier without a command opened fire in the firing sector, while The servicemen who performed the shooting exercise were in the target field. As a result of the incident, one brigade soldier was killed and two were injured,” he said.

Filiponenko also added that a military law enforcement commission arrived at the unit to conduct the investigation.
