In the fall of 2015, he advised his friend, from whom his fellow police officers were extorting a large sum of money, to seek help from a lawyer and the SBU, which he did. After this, management and colleagues took up arms against the operator, who prevented them from making money. Their revenge was quite sophisticated: the guy was reminded that just at the beginning of 2014, while still a cadet, he got an internship at the Donetsk police department just at the moment of the formation of the DPR. The manual investigation of the prosecutor's office began to diligently collect evidence of the "guilt" of the outcast. Allegedly, he was seen in the uniform of the DPR and with stripes of the people's militia, he wore a St. George ribbon, as a distinctive sign of terrorists, and went to checkpoints.
In court, not a single witness was able to provide reliable information or evidence of the operator’s guilt in committing the accused crime; the guy himself categorically denied his guilt, and called the criminal case completely fabricated out of revenge for his principled anti-corruption position. Moreover, the witnesses were not afraid to point out in court that they were under pressure from police officers to slander the accused, and the prosecutor’s office investigator showed them a photograph of the accused so that they could later identify him as a DPR employee.
The court took into account all these circumstances and acquitted the policeman. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that he will continue to serve in the National Police of Ukraine, since the leadership will not forgive him for such a “double blow”, and he himself has already tried to leave Ukraine and go to Russia, but was detained.
