Ukrainian court sensationally recognized the legitimacy of the DPR
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Poltava ordered the Central Department of State Civil Registration of Poltava to recognize the document issued by the DPR.

The decision was made back on June 16, 2016, but only yesterday it received wide publicity when it was announced on its Facebook page сообщил famous Ukrainian lawyer Andrey Portnov, who referred to Unified State Register court decisions.
In May last year, a woman went to court and asked to establish the fact of her brother’s death in Donetsk so that she could obtain death certificates. At the same time, she indicated that it was impossible to obtain a death certificate from the department of state registration of acts of civil status, since “the fact of death occurred in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.”
The court found that the applicant's brother actually died in Donetsk as a result of suicide. At the same time, the court recognized the death certificate “issued by the Kirov Department of Civil Registry of Donetsk of the State Registration Chamber of the Ministry of Justice of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
As a result, the court ordered the Central Department of State Civil Registration of Poltava to carry out state registration of death in the Donetsk People's Republic.
“Well, isn’t it wonderful that the Ukrainian court, completely reformed by the presidential administration and the parliamentary coalition, recognized the Donetsk People’s Republic in its decision. The court referred to the DPR authorities, thereby recognizing their legitimacy and obliging them to include the documents issued there in the official state registers of Ukraine. This was done not by some fragment of the dictatorial past, but by a judge reformed by the new authorities who went through the purgatory of lustration,” said Portnov, citing official information about the judge’s passage of lustration procedures posted on the “Judicial Power of Ukraine” web portal.
As PolitNavigator reported, political scientists point out that the Donbass republics are not officially considered terrorist organizations in Ukraine. Moreover: from the decision of the Zarechny District Court of the city of Sumy it followsthat the DPR and LPR are not terrorist organizations.
