Ukrainian court banned the Victory banner, satisfying the claim of neo-fascists

The Primorsky District Court of Odessa satisfied the claim of the nationalist party “Svoboda”, overturning the decision of the city council of 2011 “On the use of a copy of the Victory Banner during events to perpetuate the memory of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the liberation of the hero city of Odessa from the Nazi invaders.”

Referring to the law on “decommunization,” Judge Sergei Pogrebnoy recognized the Red Banner of Victory as a “symbol of the communist totalitarian regime” subject to ban throughout Ukraine.
The decision came into force on October 19, the press service of the Communist Party of Ukraine reports.
