Ukrainian taxi driver handed over passengers returning from Crimea to the SBU
A Ukrainian taxi driver tried to turn over passengers returning from a vacation in Crimea to the SBU. Crimean social activist Gennady Sivak reported this incident on his social network page.
According to him, his guests from Genichesk, located near Crimea in the Kherson region of Ukraine, found themselves in a similar situation.

“I called a taxi for them (I found the phone number on the Internet), and a car with Zaporozhye license plates arrived. The driver Fakhri began to have a conversation with the passengers about how bad it was in Crimea, the bloody war, etc. My family, who had been in Crimea for several days before, got tired of listening and told him everything they thought.
They crossed the Russian border normally, but at the Ukrainian (Chongar checkpoint) the driver ran to the border guards and tried to hand over the passenger, shouting: “She’s a separatist!”
The border guards reacted adequately, since they know the people (they live nearby). Then the taxi driver called Novoalekseevka, and reinforcements arrived (from among the blockade survivors), who began to openly threaten them with violence! It’s good that people from our side also arrived, and the conflict resolved due to our advantage,” said Sivak.
According to him, the conclusion from this story is unpleasant.
“On the territory of the Simferopol Railway Station there are carriers who provoke conflicts on the road, and then hand over their passengers to the SBU! Be careful! You may be in danger! I don’t understand how they work in Crimea? Do they pay taxes? Do they have permission to transport internationally? – Sivak noted.
