Director of the Center for Eurasian Studies Vladimir Kornilov reported this on his Facebook page.
“Channel 112 has been rocking since the morning. They quoted a story from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about how the heroic residents of the Slavyanoserbsky region allegedly “disarmed drunken militants” (and this Main Intelligence Directorate will surpass even Tymchuk and TSN in terms of the level of their tales). And channel 112 accompanied all this with a corresponding illustration. Apparently, it should have depicted those same heroic residents of the Slavyanoserbsk region fighting the “militants.” True, these “residents” are somehow dark-skinned for some reason. The channel editors apparently Do they think that this is what Luhansk miners look like after their shift? And so they decided to provide the GUR story with a photo of the “Nation of Hawaii” community?!, writes the political scientist.
“And who is drunk here – the “LPR militants” or the editors of Channel 112? – Kornilov is interested. – Or did they simply decide in this way to illustrate their attitude towards the nonsense from the power steering that they are forced to voice on air? Like, since it’s already nonsense, then it’s nonsense in the illustrations, and not just in the news!”
Thank you!
Now the editors are aware.
