Ukrainian TV presenter staged a panic interrogation of the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense
Whatever the air defense systems, no one is immune from the fact that Russian bombers will break into Ukraine and strike at Kiev.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see point-launched missile systems on the border with Ukraine, we see bombers and airplanes. Is the Ukrainian army ready, do we have the opportunity to prevent the bomber, relatively speaking, from reaching Kyiv? Do we have anything to shoot down missiles that fly 200-300 kilometers? And if such missiles reach here, is society ready to act in the event of some kind of shelling?” – asked one of the channel’s presenters.
“Of course, there is no insurance and no one hundred percent forecast regarding air strikes or anything else, bombings, all these apocalyptic things that you are trying to ask. I understand that the viewer will watch the broadcast more if I repeat the word “bombing” twice more,” answered Malyar.
Iskanders, ballistic systems, are they there?” – the TV channel employee continued to whip up panic.
“Listen, today, 2022, you need to understand that there is no point in seizing some territory with the destruction of infrastructure, that is, with the complete bombing of houses, residential areas, destroying cities (I won’t say which ones, otherwise it will be in the headlines now) . Today it is cheaper and easier to conquer territory and influence the policies of other countries using hybrid methods.
Secondly, if you are worried about Kyiv or other million-plus cities, these are not only adults, but also, for example, in Kyiv, millions of children. No one today will go to destroy the actual European capital in such an apocalyptic way. Let’s not escalate,” the official tried to reassure the studio.
“You are now speaking in the language of logic, Putin is crazy. History in Chechnya, in Abkhazia,” the presenter became hysterical.
“You are now pronouncing the Russian narrative, because it is beneficial for Putin that we consider him crazy. He is not crazy, he calculates all his steps very well and understands perfectly what he is doing. By the way, he weighs his steps very carefully. That is why a final decision has not been made on how the situation will develop further,” assured Anna Malyar.
