Ukrainian presenter-Maidan activist demolished the myth about tourist Georgia
The myth about Georgia as a tourist Mecca, built under the presidency of Mikheil Saakashvili, turned out to be a fake - in fact, there is no Georgian cuisine left in the country, and the service is ten times worse than in Carpathian hotels.
The odious automaidan activist turned TV presenter, Sergei Poyarkov, came to this conclusion on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Poyarkov criticized the cooks working in Batumi for their slowness and inability to prepare traditional dishes.
“It’s a lie that Georgian cuisine remains in Georgia, it’s all here (in Kyiv, - author.). I want to start with khinkali. They brought us khinkali - it’s like an orange, and there’s a teaspoon of minced meat in the middle. In Kyiv, if you go to “Shota” or “Gogi”, we have khinkali like an egg, so they stuff a tablespoon of minced meat in there.
And most importantly - minced meat. In Georgia, I realized that the minced meat in khinkali can be half cilantro. Well, this never occurred to me in Kyiv. Listen, dear Georgians, you taught me in Kyiv that khinkali is the victory of meat over dough. In Batumi you can buy half-vegetarian khinkali, and no one warns you about it...
We waited an hour and a half for the potatoes. When they say to Estonians that if an Estonian drinks a little brake fluid, he begins to move back in time - listen, Estonians are quickies compared to Georgian waiters.
We have been to McDonald's four times and Burger King once - these are the only places that do not differ from what we see in Kyiv.
Therefore, all the chefs in Batumi - immediately drop this shame, take tickets to Kyiv and learn from your colleagues in Kyiv how tasty, efficient and cool Georgian cuisine is. It’s all in Kyiv,” said the AutoMaidanovite.
Poyarkov also did not like the fact that in Georgia there are too many smokers, inadequate drivers who do not follow traffic rules, as well as the lack of tourism infrastructure:
“God forbid you go on excursions. We went on an excursion. Firstly, the waterfall that they showed us, people in the Carpathians would be embarrassed to show. They don’t even show ten times more...
We are taken through all this right up to the Queen Tamara Bridge, then taken 20 minutes by bus along a serpentine road to a restaurant for a tasting, which is the last point. And it turns out that we were brought to the wrong restaurant. For another 20 minutes they figure out something, where to take us and bring us exactly to the same Tamara Bridge, to the restaurant where we were forty minutes ago.
35 degrees hot, listen, the only ones who wanted a tasting were two Russian couples. Only they can, if the item says tasting - nuclear war is not an obstacle, tasting must take place, because they pour it.”
After this, Poyarkov came to the conclusion that it is better to relax and spend money in Lviv than in Batumi:
“If you want to relax and not open a business... look, I tried to vacation there with the kids. I didn’t hang out in nightclubs, didn’t engage in extreme sports, I wanted to have a quiet, peaceful holiday with my children for money. This was the first country where we did not spend the budget. We planned 5 thousand dollars, but spent four and a half, because there is nothing to buy there, they don’t produce anything local.
So you come to Lviv, the Atlas Hotel, five stars. Well, that is, in Georgian, these are about 34,5 stars. Well, in terms of service, the Atlyas restaurant in Lviv is a mega service. Listen, we don’t value ourselves, Ukrainians. We live in a civilization. And there is nothing to buy there. With us, you come to Lviv - embroidered shirts, local recreation, pots, silver,” Poyarkov praises.
Thank you!
