In the final race of high-class athletes S5 at a distance of 4000 meters, the 29-year-old Ukrainian was opposed by the Australian Alistair Donohoe.
At the beginning of the race, the Australian fell behind, but subsequently took the lead, but at the end of the race, the Ukrainian managed to break away by almost 7 seconds and win.

In general, the Ukrainian team won 37 medals (including 12 gold) at the current Paralympics, which allowed the “blue-yellows” to move closer to second place in the standings – Great Britain (15 gold medals).
