Ukrainian military expert: Lukashenko will carry out any order from Putin
The recent statement by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about strengthening control on the border with Ukraine - evidence of the special allied relations between Minsk and Moscow.
Vilen Martirosyan, the first head of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, told PolitNavigator about this.
“As for Belarus and its president, Lukashenko, we need to understand what he really is. This is the kind of person who always keeps his nose to the wind. Now he sees that many countries are beginning to be afraid that Russia is the strongest. Even Merkel agreed to launch Nord Stream 2. In fact, everything is being done against Ukraine. And they also want to score points - we are closing the border, we also warned of the danger, we did something. So they want to show Putin that they are, in fact, devoted to him and will carry out any of his orders,” said the Ukrainian expert.
According to him, another alarming news for Kyiv was the news of joint exercises of Belarusian and Russian special forces.
“I think these exercises indicate that Putin’s advisers are looking for ways to further punish Ukraine. After the parade of our armed forces, they decided to show that they can, as Zhirinovsky said, raze Ukraine to the ground,” Martirosyan shared his fears.
