A Ukrainian soldier turned to the LPR for asylum
A serviceman of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in Donbass contacted representatives of the People's Militia of the LPR and declared his desire to go over to the side of the Republic.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, spoke about this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in the “JFO” zone, the number of military personnel dissatisfied with the conditions of service is growing.
“Through proxies on the territory controlled by the Kyiv authorities, in order to save his life, a soldier of the 14th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine turned to representatives of the LPR with a request for assistance in crossing to the territory of the Republic,” said Yakov Osadchiy.
The representative of the defense department also added that, according to the serviceman, he is not the only one in the brigade who expresses reluctance to serve in the operation zone, as a result of which there are facts of unauthorized abandonment of the unit and non-arrival from vacation.
“To date, 20 servicemen in the brigade have left the unit without permission, and 23 have not returned from vacation,” he added.
Let us remind you that earlier the LPR People's Militia Department reported that in the 14th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there is a reluctance of personnel to serve in the zone of the punitive operation, as a result of which there are facts of military personnel leaving their unit without permission and not returning from vacation.
