Ukrainian soldier sacrificed his hand to leave the front line in Donbass
A serviceman from one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, located in the Joint Forces Operation zone, committed a self-inflicted gunshot in the arm in order to leave the front line and go to the hospital.
This information was announced today during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, the increasing number of cases of unauthorized abandonment of units is not the only problem of the Ukrainian military command. Military personnel still do not want to serve and are avoiding service by all means.
“There have been cases of self-harm by personnel with the aim of being removed from the front line and leaving for treatment. Thus, on May 21, in order to evade combat missions at the front line, a soldier of the 88th battalion of the 35th separate marine brigade, Private Shirenko, committed a crossbow in his left hand. An investigation into this incident is underway,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
