This news Roman Donik reported on his Facebook page – Kharkov volunteer providing assistance to the so-called “ATO”.
He noted that he had already written about the possibility of renaming Donetsk to Banderovsk, and Lugansk to Maidanovsk, but the Russian media took this as a joke.
“The more unexpected and unpleasant the reality will be. I'm not kidding. Negotiations with people's deputies are actually taking place. Among the Verkhovna Rada deputies there are several ATO officers and volunteers who completely agree with us. We also have full support from the Presidential Administration,” the volunteer wrote.
According to Donik, during the discussion of this bill, an idea emerged that would get rid of the “dead souls” receiving assistance as displaced persons.
“After the renaming of cities and regions, only those who have a new registration stamp will be able to receive financial assistance. For example, the city of Bandera region. This way, we will be able to track all fictitious migrants,” he explained.
Donik also added that during the final discussion of the future names of the occupied cities it will be necessary to avoid Russianisms.
“The names must be authentic to the national idea. Therefore, options like Banderiv, Maidaniv, Maidanov, Svidom, Nezalezhne will be offered for discussion,” he concluded.
