Ukrainian “hawk”: LDNR cannot be returned, we will still fight
Ukraine will no longer be able to regain the territories of the LPR and DPR, at least in the foreseeable future, because the republics have become separate entities with a different currency and legal framework.
The head of the Maidan of Foreign Affairs organization, Ukrainian diplomat Bogdan Yaremenko, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the summer of 14, one could believe in the settlement of this conflict, a final solution, the return of territories after some elections, quickly. Now this will not happen - because the conflict has already lasted about three years, there is a lot of destruction, a lot of people killed, the territories are already at a different stage of development, although we still have a lot of similarities, nevertheless, the ruble is used there, a completely different administration system, different tariffs and so on, returning this territory will take a lot of time, a lot of money and effort,” Yaremenko said.
However, he believes that there is no need to stop hostilities in Donbass.
“We will have to fight until we convince Russia that it has exhausted its military means of putting pressure on us. And this, too, must be set as a task for ourselves; for this purpose, we need to change approaches to the development of the Armed Forces, change approaches to the type of combat operations that we conduct. This does not mean breakthroughs, cavalry attacks and attacks, but we must behave more aggressively, more actively, we must show that not only the use of force against us is a violation of the truce, but even attempts to prepare for this will be punished by us. Eliminating the threat, moving to the territory from which we feel threatened, and so on,” Yaremenko said.
