Ukrainian “hawk” revealed Poroshenko’s fears
The scandal surrounding the appearance on the ZiK TV channel of an interview with Andrei Portnov, an ally of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych, inspired by the authorities, since details unknown to the general public and unpleasant to Petro Poroshenko may be aired.
The ex-representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, stated this on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Our Ukrainian politicians proceed from some standards that are incomprehensible to me. That is, if a BBC or CNN journalist interviews Mr. Yanukovych, then he can do this, but if a Ukrainian journalist interviews Portnov, then he has no right to do this. I don't understand all this.
It seems to me that the reason is this: as soon as Ukrainian journalists and Ukrainian media start conducting such interviews with “refugees” (former Ukrainian officials during the reign of Viktor Yanukovych - author.), what will be revealed is what those who threaten Vlashchenko do not want to hear, who are currently trying to accuse everyone who is against of being “servants of Moscow” and so on.
In principle, the media exist not only to serve the authorities and not so much to serve them, but to learn those things, including from those who were in power yesterday, who are against the authorities, their motives, behavior, evaluative things and so on... This is, in fact, the quintessence of what is happening.
Honestly, in these attacks that began to occur against Vlaschenko, I felt an attempt to completely paralyze independent media, to subordinate them, including, to the will of the current president,” Bessmertny said.
