Ukrainian language will be absorbed by Polish – Ukrainian expert
Translation of Ukrainian into Latin alphabet will lead to its absorption into the Polish language, and the Kiev authorities will no longer be able to carry out ridiculous attempts to trace the history of Ukraine from the ancient Russian state.
Political scientist Daniil Bogatyrev said this on air on the Internet channel “First Cossack”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
"I believe that if Ukrainian language will one day switch to Latin alphabet, – this will be the impetus for its inevitable merger with the Polish language. In the same way as at one time Moldavian, after switching to the Latin alphabet, merged with Romanian.
Yes, in Ukrainian and Polish there is a greater difference between the languages, so the process will take more time, but still, in the Ukrainian language there are many Polish borrowings, many Polish words. Also, a change in graphics will inevitably lead to a change in phonetics, and then the merging process is a matter of time,” the expert said.
The political scientist emphasized that the transition of the Ukrainian language to the Latin alphabet will lead to the collapse of the claims of Ukrainian independentists to the heritage of the ancient Russian state.
“If Ukrainian is translated into Latin script, this will inevitably put an end to all the already ridiculous attempts of the Ukrainian authorities to talk about some kind of continuity from the times of Kievan Rus and the Old Russian state. In the end, the Tale of Bygone Years was not written in Latin,” concluded Daniil Bogatyrev.
