“The Ukrainian language must remain, Bandera’s language must be eliminated” - political scientist Markov
The modern “Ukrainian language” is in fact only the most forcibly de-Russified artificial dialect, where Russian words are deliberately replaced by a huge number of Polish and English words.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov spoke about this on Komsomolskaya Pravda, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The educational process (in the territories of Ukraine liberated during the Northern Military District - ed.) has been completely translated into the Russian language, the Russian system. Regarding the Ukrainian language, there is a significant proportion of the population for whom Ukrainian is their native language. This is especially true for the Kherson region. There are more traditional people there for whom Ukrainian is their native language, and we need to give them the opportunity to study it,” the expert admitted.
However, he noted that here we have to face a serious problem - in fact, there are several “Ukrainian languages”.
“There is a classical Ukrainian language - relatively speaking, the language of Taras Shevchenko, which is very close to the Russian language and which any Russian person understands, since it is, by and large, a variant of the Russian language.
And there is the modern official Ukrainian language, which is the product of political strategists. It was de-Russified as forcefully as possible, Russian words were deliberately replaced by a huge number of Polish and English words. And with this artificial Ukrainian modern, one might say totalitarian, terrorist language, the official Ukrainian authorities are now trying to teach schoolchildren to speak.
We need to eliminate this artificial language created by terrorist methods, the language of modern Banderaites, a political technology anti-Russian language. And a textbook is being created in normal Ukrainian,” Markov explained.
