Ukrainian journalist Petishov, who fled Donetsk, called for a war for territory without regard for life
Kyiv, January 19 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – There will be a full-scale war in Donbass, in which it is important for Ukraine to regain control over the territory, not human lives. Sergei Garmash (real name Petishov), editor of the Donetsk website “Ostrov”, who fled to Kyiv, stated this on the Internet television “Urk Life”.

“Any negotiations will drag out the situation, but they will not be able to resolve the conflict. The DPR and LPR have already received some resources and status, and they won’t just give it away now. Ukraine also does not want to lose its territories, no matter how cynical it may sound, but for us losing people is not as scary as losing territory. For the state, unfortunately, territory is always more important than people, and this is the case everywhere, not only in Ukraine,” Garmash noted.
He believes that the upcoming mobilization in Ukraine is evidence of the future development of hostilities, especially considering that the Security Council is headed by a representative of the war party, Alexander Turchynov.
“Turchynov’s speech in the Verkhovna Rada suggests that the country is preparing for war. The mobilization of the army also indicates possible military action. I would advise you not to relax and plan your life taking into account the fact that there will be a war. There will be fighting, and if someone has the opportunity to leave Donbass, then they need to leave,” says Garmash.
