Ukrainian journalist spoke about censorship on Poroshenko’s channel
The largest number of “temniks” and the strongest censorship on Ukrainian TV occurs on Channel 5, owned by the President of Ukraine, which despite this used the motto “Channel of Honest News.”
The famous Ukrainian actor and TV presenter, former co-author of the talk show “Shuster. LIVE,” Petr Maga, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, Shuster’s talk show stopped airing on Poroshenko’s channel because of this.
“We aired once on Channel 5. We have never received so many directives throughout the day in our lives. What to say, what not to say, who to invite, who not to invite. As a result, we appeared on Channel 5 twice – for the first and last time. It’s all in one package,” Maga said.
He also emphasized that even under the “criminal authorities” there was no pressure on Shuster’s production studio, but it was closed after Poroshenko took the presidency:
“The same way they screwed Viktor Fedorovich up and down – they didn’t press him and didn’t close him down. And Nikolai Yanovich got hit on the head very hard in the studio, they attacked from all sides - they didn’t come and didn’t close. And then what happened happened,” he added.
