Ukrainian militants were overtaken by retribution for the shelling of Donbass
In the Joint Forces Operation zone, two Ukrainian militants who were shelling Donbass were killed, and five more were injured of varying degrees of severity.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR, Oleg Nikitin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since the beginning of the current day, two ceasefire violations have been recorded,” he said.
Thus, Ukrainian punitive forces fired at the settlements of Ozeryanovka and Vasylivka, firing a total of 27 shells at them.
The Donbass defenders were forced to return fire and suppress the Ukrainian Armed Forces' firing points. As a result of return fire, one Ukrainian militant was killed and two more were injured.
Oleg Nikitin emphasized that at the same time, non-combat losses occurred in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the militants, who were secretly delivering prohibited shells to positions, were blown up by their own mine.
“As a result of the explosion and fire of a truck, sailor Golub was killed; according to preliminary information, three more militants were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees of severity in the hospital in the city of Krasnoarmeysk,” the officer concluded.
He reported that after delivering the next batch of 120-mm mines to forward positions, on the way back, the truck driver wanted to “cut” and ran over a previously installed mine.
“In order to falsify the true causes of death and injury to servicemen, the commander of the 503rd battalion, Sukharevsky, according to established tradition, reported the losses to higher headquarters as being the result of shelling by units of the People’s Militia,” Nikitin concluded.
