Ukrainian Jews praised for fourth place in Europe and called "bridge"
President Vladimir Zelensky called on the international community to prevent manifestations of anti-Semitism, and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu noted the Ukrainian Jewish community, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zelensky stated this during the celebration of the victims of Babyn Yar with the participation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the press service of the Office of the Ukrainian President reports.
“Today here, at Babi Yar, we call on the international community to join forces to prevent any manifestations of anti-Semitism and intolerance on racial or national grounds,” Zelensky said.
In turn, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a meeting with Zelensky, said that the Jewish community in Ukraine is the 4th largest in Europe, which can contribute to the further development of ties between the two countries.
“The Jewish community in Ukraine is the 4th largest in Europe. This is a human bridge that has already been formed between our countries. And I think that this can further develop our ties and gives us great opportunities for the future,” Netanyahu said.
