Ukrainian “cyborgs” were abandoned
The Ukrainian army has revealed numerous facts of insufficient food supply for the group in the Donbass, as well as the theft and subsequent sale of “saved” food products.
Official representative of the DPR defense department Daniil Bezsonov spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to DPR intelligence, in the area of responsibility of the 58th motorized infantry brigade, which arrived to replace the 24th brigade in the Gorlovka direction, an inspection commission of the food service of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters is working. During the work, the procedure for storing and providing food for personnel is checked, and the elimination of previously identified shortcomings of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commission is monitored.
“The reason for the commission’s arrival was numerous complaints from the personnel of this unit about the low quality of food supplies and the provision of food below established standards. The commission identified facts of shortages of food and prepared food for personnel, as well as an excess in the food warehouse of a combination of products that had already been written off and allegedly given out for cooking,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He added that the final inspection report was transferred to the investigative authorities of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine to initiate a criminal case on the fact of fraud and theft.
