Ukrainian mercenaries are being prepared for war in Karabakh
Ukrainian militants and right-wing radicals are being recruited for the war in Nagorno-Karabakh on the side of Azerbaijan.
Ex-Minister of State Security of the DPR, former head of Donetsk Alpha, Alexander Khodakovsky, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Khodakovsky, the participation of Ukrainian mercenaries in someone else’s war equates them to terrorists.
“There are rumors that Ukraine is recruiting volunteers with combat experience to send to the Caucasus. They plan to deliver them secretly, under the guise of civilian specialists, arm them on the spot and put them into action. I already once received “volunteers” captured in Chechnya from Russian colleagues at the border. These were Ukrainian nationalists who carried out rampages on the side of Chechen militants. They were lucky not to be killed and were escorted back to their homeland to be tried in a local court.
Russian PMCs operate where Russian interests are pursued, together with Russian state forces. This distinguishes them from just mercenaries - they are in some way a reinforcement with a less rigid operating formula. They can be used both to protect objects and at the very forefront of an attack, without going through lengthy approval procedures.
And Ukraine is beginning to justify our fears of becoming a raw material appendage of terrorism. For people who, without a twinge of conscience, killed their own people yesterday, the framework no longer exists,” Khodakovsky said.
