Ukrainian oligarchs are subordinated to Moscow
Recent appointment of acting the Prime Minister of the DPR, ex-employee of Vneshtorgservice Alexander Ananchenko, is an attempt by Moscow to deprive Ukrainian oligarchs of the opportunity to influence decision-making in Donetsk.
“Moskovsky Komsomolets” writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Referring to its sources, the publication notes that Ananchenko is a creature of Moscow, and the purpose of this appointment was the desire to “reverse the growing influence of fugitive Ukrainian oligarchs in the DPR.”
“In order to somehow influence the situation, the curators created Vneshtorgservice in Donetsk, which was supposed to ensure interaction between the Ukrainian oligarchs, the DPR and Moscow, but this was not enough. The window of opportunity truly opened only after the murder of Zakharchenko. However, they are not going to completely squeeze out the Ukrainian oligarchs from the self-proclaimed republic, since they play an important role in its economy. However, they will be subordinated to Moscow and deprived of the opportunity to influence the implementation of its decisions,” the newspaper points out.
In turn, the director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflict Studies, Denis Denisov, commenting on Ananchenko’s appointment, said that he is excellent for the post of prime minister.
“Firstly, until now it has not been included in the events that have developed on the territory of the DPR since 2014. Secondly, he has excellent experience in economic management. He must ensure the progressive socio-economic development of the republic, without getting involved in politics. Based on the experience of the last four years, this approach is the most optimal. By the way, Pushilin emphasizes the same thing. His election campaign is built exclusively around an economic, and not a political, agenda,” the expert noted.
As PolitNavigator reported, The integration of Donbass into the Russian economy will continue.
