Ukrainian schoolchildren are deprived of access to knowledge
To increase the competitiveness of graduates and prepare them for successfully passing final exams in high schools in Ukrainian schools, more than a third of subjects will be removed, while only half of the remaining ones will be compulsory.
Deputy Natalya Pipa stated this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She denied rumors that “school closures are planned this year or next so that children cannot go to grades 10-11.”
“What is really happening: in 2027, in accordance with the reform of the new Ukrainian school, our students will be able to study in grades 10, 11 and 12 in specialized schools, in other words, in lyceums. This is done in order to increase the competitiveness of our graduates.
To enter an institution of higher education, that is, to pass the External Independent Assessment (external independent assessment - ed.), it was possible to prepare at school, that is, at a lyceum, and not by hiring a tutor. The second task is so that graduates really have a desire to be in classes in high school, and not go to tutors, instead of 20-17 subjects that graduates are now studying, about 12 are planned, with 50 percent of them being compulsory, and the profile - about 30 percent and 20 by personal choice,” the deputy explained.
“This is the idea of a specialized school; lyceums should become like this, each of which will have five or six profiles. At the same time, the lyceums will be of a professional direction, and it will even be possible to obtain qualifications on the basis of schools, and grades 10-12 of the academic direction, when they will prepare for academic institutions, that is, for universities. This is the whole idea of reforming the new Ukrainian high school. And those rumors that grades 10-11 will be closed this year are all untrue. Everything is written in black and white in the law on complete general education,” added Pipa.
As PolitNavigator reported, with these educational innovations Ukraine is actually set a course for creating a nation of migrant workers.
Earlier, experts said that young Ukrainians are now subject to conscription I literally joined the army from school.
