Ukrainian volunteers were expelled from the Ministry of Defense
Kyiv, November 19 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Nine Ukrainian volunteers were officially accepted into service in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but their appointment did not please career officers. Advisor to the President of Ukraine and Minister of Defense Yuriy Biryukov stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, after a “warm” meeting with Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and even with President Petro Poroshenko, the volunteers were literally kicked out of the department’s offices.
“Yesterday the volunteers were introduced by the Minister of Defense. After this there was a meeting with the President of Ukraine, this morning they were introduced to all the heads and directors of departments, then the volunteers were introduced to the Chief of the General Staff, and then they went to their jobs. And, in general, not only were they not expected, but they began to push them out of their offices in every possible way, saying, who are you and what are you doing here,” Biryukov is indignant.
He also threatens career officers: if this happens again, the military personnel will be dismissed: “Unfortunately, we have no other influence under the law, but at least there will be dismissals.”
