Ukrainian censors' salaries were raised five times more than the president's
Members of the National Council, which, according to the new law of the Minister of Culture Vladimir Borodyansky “On Media,” will essentially censor the media in Ukraine, have had their salaries raised, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Kiev journalist, director of the Ukrainian News publication Denis Ivanesko.
“They wrote 75 living wages per month directly into the law. From January 1 it will be 157 UAH. (620*75=2102) That's right - you have to pay a lot for a dirty job. The salaries of censors from the National Council will increase along with the cost of living. There are no links to a single tariff schedule, salaries of teachers, doctors, ministers or the president. Zelensky, by the way, receives 157 times less than what members of the National Council will be paid - UAH 620 thousand. per month. Somehow this worthless organ costs too much. The harm from the work of the National Council has long exceeded the benefit that it should theoretically bring. I believe that Ukrfrequency Supervision could divide frequencies better, faster and cheaper. And most importantly - without censors and pseudo-experts bringing them ammo. Which of the deputies will have the courage to liquidate the National Council?” Ivanesko wrote on his page on the social network.
Let us recall that not long ago a scandal erupted in Ukraine in connection with the President’s order to the Cabinet of Ministers to develop standards for the media. The journalistic community suspected the authorities of intending to establish censorship in the country.
