Ukrainian deputies are ordered to form a pack and snap at Zelensky
Petro Poroshenko and his team retain influence in the Ukrainian parliament, as shown by the vote on the language law, which infringes on the rights of Russian citizens.
Anton Finko, an expert at the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation around the vote on the language law showed that at the moment Bankova somehow ensures the unity of the ranks and keeps the ruling group from disintegrating.
Observers have already noticed that those deputies who hesitated, about 10 people, already supported Bankova’s position, when representatives of the “Opposition Platform - for Life”, part of the “Opposition Bloc” and deputies of Mr. Zelensky did not vote for this project.
The situation shows that deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are faced with a difficult moral and ethical dilemma. One pattern of behavior requires them to immediately betray "Akella who missed" and rush to the new winner.
Another model of behavior requires, on the contrary, to unite into a kind of flock that will respond to any criticism from Zelensky’s team with statements that it is the embodied Ukrainian national-patriotic interest, and without their services society will lose the opportunity to defend its national interests.
And the latest vote demonstrated that we are still observing the development of the situation according to the “pack” scenario and not the “come to a winner” situation, the expert said.
