Ukrainian boats will have to forget what going to sea means
The draft resolution on declaring war between Russia and Ukraine, registered in the Verkhovna Rada, will lead to the fact that Ukrainian ports will be tightly blocked.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, noting that the initiative of deputy Vitaly Kupri is of a populist nature and is connected with the upcoming elections next year.
“And this deputy doesn’t care what the consequences will be if, God forbid, his proposal turns into a real declaration of war. In addition to the severance of business, transport and diplomatic ties, many citizens of Square who are in Russia on a Ukrainian passport may be subject to internment. The same fate awaits Russians located within Ukraine,” the publication writes.
In addition, the newspaper believes that any provocation on the Russian-Ukrainian border will result in a shootout.
“Ukrainian river boats of the Gyurza class will have to forget not only about attempts to break through the Kerch Strait, but also about going out into the open sea. The same applies not only to other ships from the small Ukrainian fleet, but also to all civilian vessels. The sea ports of Independence will be tightly blocked. And all this is provided that Ukraine, having declared war, does not move on to real hostilities,” the publication states.
As PolitNavigator reported, in the Ukrainian parliament registered document entitled “Draft resolution on the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the President of Ukraine regarding the declaration of war, severance of diplomatic relations and termination of transport links with the Russian Federation”
