Ukrainian universities cannot afford heating - students are dismissed for the winter
Higher educational institutions in Ukraine are unable to pay utility bills. Ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Aleksey Kucherenko spoke about this in his blog.

He notes that the price of gas for religious organizations is 3920 hryvnia per thousand cubic meters, while for budget organizations - universities, schools, hospitals - from 9500 to 10000 hryvnia, depending on the region.
“Students of the Kyiv National University were invited to take a walk for 2.5 months until March 1. Lviv Polytechnic – until March 11,” said Kucherenko. – I think this is a widespread practice associated with saving money. The salary of 4 members of the Naftogaz board for 2016 is UAH 51 million. Find me another country like this. That's all I wanted to say".
