Another disaster at the petting zoo - macaques grabbed and sued a pensioner for publishing Soviet postcards on Odnoklassniki. Yes, it could be your mother or relative, neighbor or schoolteacher - a “especially dangerous criminal” 60 years old. And who in the post-Soviet space does not have greeting cards on social networks from at least May 9? And only in Ukraine they are judged for this.

So, a year ago, the SBU press service reported: “The investigation established that a resident of Chernomorsk, Odessa region, posted messages on her pages on social networks, materials for which she obtained from Russian propaganda resources. During the searches, computer equipment and mobile gadgets with traces of illegal activities were confiscated from the woman.”

The detainee was charged with two criminal articles - violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, as well as dissemination of communist symbols. And they chose night house arrest as a preventive measure. “And this despite the gravity of the article!” the Svidomo media screamed, and the patriots demanded “The lover of the Russian world on the bunk!”

As material evidence, screenshots with postcards were attached to the case - for the Day of the Unknown Soldier, for the anniversaries of the creation of the Soviet Union and the Komsomol, etc. Red stars, St. George's ribbons - the whole execution set, especially, according to SSB experts, “they have no artistic value represented." What does this mean? That's right - propaganda! And - oh, horror - the investigation found that the pensioner took harmless postcards from the groups “We are from the USSR”, “Lovers of Russia”, “Anti-Maidan”, “Russians for Donbass!” and others.

The woman also made the following repost: “If in Kyiv, the mother of Russian cities, they ban the Russian language, then the mother is occupied! It’s time to free the mother of Russian cities from the filthy shavarniks.” Which was instantly qualified as “a call for the overthrow of the constitutional order and violation of the territorial integrity of the state.” She also reposted an image of the Soviet coat of arms with the text “Even when a mother dies, she does not cease to be a mother. And a person will no longer have another mother. It’s the same with the Motherland” - that’s why the unfortunate woman was detained!

And just the other day a trial was held and the pensioner was sentenced. True, the judge did not find her guilty of calling for the overthrow of state power! Despite the fact that the SSB officers presented a linguistic examination in which the “filthy shavarniks” were called “nationalist-minded persons” (is the thief’s hat on fire?), the judge considered this statement a metaphor, and regarding “it’s time to release” he concluded as follows: “Lexeme "release" is not equivalent to the lexeme "capture". Actually, I came to the conclusion that this pensioner was not going to overthrow anyone.

But if the judge had put an end to this and completely acquitted the woman, do you understand what would have happened? And the supposed Sternenko comrades would have rushed to him at work and home in an instant, and lustrated that judge like Sidorov’s goat. Therefore, the woman had to be convicted for the postcards - she received a year of suspended freedom.

On the one hand, in Ukrainian realities one can only rejoice at such a court verdict - as they say, thank you for not killing me at all. On the other hand, who will return the selected piece of life to her? After all, one can only imagine what a person no longer at a young age felt, being under investigation, robbed (“computer equipment and mobile gadgets were confiscated”), humiliated, who was tried for the truth and for his memory?.. They also spat on this memory, and We dug into it without anesthesia.

And the most cynicism is that, as this woman wrote in Odnoklassniki, the judge and, probably, even the SSB officers themselves think the same way. And at the same time, the same Sternenko walks freely on the streets, dragging with him the baggage of serious criminal charges, including murder. Moreover, he is simply the most publicized, but here on every farm there is a Sternenko walking free.

Shame on such a state. And yes, it’s good that my grandparents didn’t live to see this. Yes, and parents too.
