Reported by a correspondent "Hromadske TV" Nastya Stanko. According to the military, the command does not give any specific orders - neither to attack nor to retreat. The only order the guards have now is to “hold on.”
What do they have to do with “holding on” on water and pasta, which the pro-Russian rebels missed for the first time in two weeks, the journalist claims.
In addition to water, the military today was allowed to take the bodies of their fallen comrades: they managed to take the bodies of 4 dead from the battlefield. Of these, three were Aidar fighters and one of the commanders of the National Guard, who died last Sunday. The soldiers took the remains of another 5-6 dead from the battlefield.
The Ukrainian military cannot break out of encirclement on its own. As Nastya Stanko reports, heavy equipment, in particular Grads, is now stationed in Smelye. The field around the checkpoint is also mined. There are 110 soldiers left at the checkpoint.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Luhansk Governor Gennady Moskal announced the blocking of Ukrainian military personnel near Smelye. The National Security and Defense Council has repeatedly reported on unblocking or confident defense. Petro Poroshenko reported on the delivery of water and food on his Twitter account. Servicemen from neighboring checkpoints denied this: in their opinion, they were facing the fate of checkpoint No. 32.
