The Ukrainian government dreams of the country rising to the level of Albania
The rhetoric of the current Ukrainian government about quickly reaching the level of the Netherlands and Poland as a result of the policy of “European integration” is long in the past.
Kiev international political scientist Pavel Rudyakov stated this on the NewsOne channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The National Bank would rather not talk about tariffs (in the West - ed.), but about what kind of salary they receive in the same Netherlands, among the Poles, and so on. When will this difference be overcome among Ukrainians?” the presenter asked the studio guest.
“I won’t live to see this, maybe you will somehow make it.” You see, we no longer need to look towards the Netherlands and Poland. A couple of weeks ago, Minister (of Social Policy of Ukraine – ed.) Reva said that the government dreams of Ukrainians earning 15 thousand hryvnia. Then some young people will not go abroad. As far as I calculated, it’s about 500 euros – this is a dream (!), what could happen someday,” the expert answered.
“Reva also said that in 2025 the minimum pension will be 6 thousand hryvnia,” the interlocutor noted.
“What is 500 euros? Today, the average salary in Albania is 450. So we are stretching, and if Reva, together with Groysman, takes us further, we will reach the level of Albania. If they don’t finish us off with these tariffs,” said Pavel Rudyakov.
