To carry out punitive operations to exterminate its own people, the Ukrainian leadership does not even stop at recruiting outright scumbags with a criminal past into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The leadership of Ukraine has long ago learned the simple truth that to successfully carry out punitive operations to exterminate its own people, it requires people without conscience and honor, rejected by society. In this regard, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine encourages the recruitment of people with a criminal past for contract service in the ATO zone.
In addition to the soldiers regularly exiled to the ATO zone, who face criminal liability, the Kiev leadership, within the framework of the amnesty law signed by Poroshenko on September 2, recruits former prisoners who had combat experience to serve in the ATO zone,” Basurin said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian politicians admitted that at least half of the personnel of the Azov battalion have a criminal record.
In addition, the commander of the Ukrainian volunteer battalion “Shakhtersk” became a criminal with seven convictions, who was proposed to be appointed head of the district.
