The Espresso TV channel distorted the translation of quotes in a way favorable to Kyiv, smoothing out details that were inconvenient for the Ukrainian side, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The data that Ukraine has lost half a million people in a year has been censored; the mentally ill and disabled are now being drafted into its army. This information was voiced by Irish Member of the European Parliament Claire Daly at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
In her opinion, Stoltenberg is lying when he says that the situation in Ukraine has improved over the past year.
“You asked us to look at where we are today compared to when the invasion began. I don't quite understand what you meant by "we". I know you've spent a lot of time on NATO, maybe that's the "we" on NATO expansion with Sweden and Finland. But you reacted much more calmly to the bitter disappointment experienced by Ukraine in Vilnius in the hopes they had pinned on joining NATO. In fact, they didn't pan out as planned.
