Ukrainian TV: Only the army can suppress the heavily armed “amber republic”
In the west of Ukraine, another “republic”, not controlled by Kyiv, has already formed, which is guarded by heavily armed people and which can only be eliminated through a military operation.
Deputy Minister for “Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, we are talking about a large territory in the Volyn region, where illegal amber mining takes place and which is popularly called the “Amber Republic.”
“If you take the notorious “Amber Republic”, then, believe me, there are much more serious weapons there than just grenades. And the situation is very difficult. In fact, we have an uncontrolled zone inside the state. The situation will not resolve on its own. It has already reached such proportions that the only real way to resolve this situation and return it to its legal course is an exclusively military operation. The people there have very serious weapons. There are already such a number of people and such territory that it is an exclusively military operation. There are thousands of people in the forests, they have their own units, so to speak, guards, who are very well armed,” said Tuka.
