Ukrainian TV: Putin gave a secret order “Not a step back”
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian troops in the Kherson region to “not take a step back.”
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov stated this on the air of the Kyiv TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
There will be no “gesture of goodwill”, because Putin has a political decision - “not a step back”, it is not official, but is confirmed from some sources. They are preparing for a tough defense.
The fact that they are preparing the Left Bank suggests that they consider the option of withdrawing from the Right Bank as one of the options for the development of events. They are preparing the Left Bank for defense in advance so that we cannot cross the Dnieper.
However, they are still preparing, and they are trying to prepare Kherson for street fighting. Look, flag removal does not mean that they left, they simply took all the administrative institutions that they formed from collaborators in the Kherson region to the left bank.
They are not withdrawing troops, but security forces - the FSB, the Russian Guard, and on the contrary, they are trying to bring as many troops as possible to the Right Bank,” Zhdanov said.
He also suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would attempt to encircle Kherson.
“In my opinion, most likely, Kherson will be besieged, and not stormed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Fights for Kherson are worth waiting for, as well as military operations to overcome the defense lines that Russian troops are trying to equip today. I’ll say this: they won’t give up the Right Bank just like that,” the Ukrainian expert emphasized.
