Ukrainian TV has focused on Crimea, Donbass is next in line
The topic of the need to return Crimea and Donbass to the control of Kyiv is not actively covered in the Ukrainian information space.
First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova stated this at the third National Platform “Dialogue on Peace and Safe Reintegration,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, according to the results of monitoring of 10 TV channels conducted by the ministry, only 2,2% of materials are dedicated to Crimea and about 8% to Donbass.
“The state does not have instruments of influence today. We think this is correct; we do not want to interfere in the information policy of the media. But the issue of self-regulation should be the main one here. Part of the coverage of these most important topics is very low,” lamented the official appointed under the quota of the Majlis, which is banned in the Russian Federation.
