Ukrainian grain rots en masse in the elevators of the “agrarian superpower”

The President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, Vladimir Klimenko, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Everyone says: let’s help the Lugansk region, our territory, where farmers still work. There are 100 thousand tons of corn and sunflowers in the fields. We can’t remove it because four elevators are jammed. The grain simply spills out, there is nowhere to put it. The grain that we cannot ship is already black. The sunflower is standing and, most likely, will die,” said Klimenko, showing photographs confirming his words.
“No matter how much we contact Ukrzaliznytsia, there is absolutely no reaction. Under the Central Committee of the CPSU, for this they took away their party membership card and sent them to prison. We all remember the famine. Are we doing a “Holodomor” in Ukraine? Is it possible to export this grain? – the farmer showed the next pictures. – This grain can no longer be given to chickens, but must be thrown away. Look at this head of corn. The elevators are clogged, they don’t provide wagons, we can’t take them out, and therefore we can’t harvest the crops that need to be taken out to the same elevators. It’s been two months since we wrote letters all around. They promise us that they will build 30 cars. This is a comedy film."
