Ukrainian sailor will be tried for stealing a live grenade from a military unit
The military prosecutor's office of the Kyiv garrison of the Central region of Ukraine sent to the Solomensky district court of Kyiv an indictment against the sailor for committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The pre-trial investigation established that a serviceman of the Ukrainian Navy, sailor B., while at a training ground in the Rivne region, on an unspecified date found and illegally took possession of the components of a combat grenade, which, when combined constructively, are a fully equipped and ready-to-use fragmentation hand grenade (RGD-5). While traveling through the city of Kiev, at the Vokzalnaya station of the capital’s metro, sailor B. was stopped by a police officer and, during an inspection of his personal belongings, the mentioned ammunition was found and confiscated,” the report says.
In addition, law enforcement officers conducted searches in a man’s house in the Chernihiv region, during which they discovered and seized an F-1 defensive hand fragmentation grenade and ammunition for small arms.
The military man faces imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
