A full-fledged program of rearmament and modernization of the Ukrainian army is impossible in the next five years. Verkhovna Rada deputy, coordinator of the Information Resistance group Dmitry Tymchuk stated this at a round table in Kyiv.

“The issue of modernization and purchase of new equipment in the Air Force and Navy is very acute,” Tymchuk noted. “We held consultations with the Cabinet of Ministers through the committee. The forecasts are disappointing. With all the unprecedented military expenditures for Ukraine, there will be no funds for the implementation of a large-scale, let’s say, full-fledged program for the rearmament of the army and navy, at least for the next five years. Some kind of economic miracle must happen in order for us to receive the funds necessary for complete rearmament.”
