The Ukrainian opposition may be given the post of Deputy Speaker of the Rada
The head of the Servant of the People party, Dmitry Razumkov, indirectly confirmed that the deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation will be a representative of the opposition, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It would be correct for the opposition, not us, to decide among themselves who will apply for which position. This is logical, correct, democratic,” Razumkov said on TV channel 112, answering the question of which opposition representative would get the position of vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
He noted that it is difficult to answer how they will negotiate and nominate a candidate for this position.
“I hope that, finally, the opposition in the Verkhovna Rada will find some common ground,” Razumkov said.
At the same time, he did not rule out that if four opposition factions nominate four candidates, then there will be a vote on these candidates.
As reported, the faction of the Servant of the People party will nominate Dmitry Razumkov for the post of Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, and Ruslan Stefanchuk, the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada, for the post of first vice speaker.
Let us remind you that in addition to the Servant of the People, the parties “Batkivshchyna”, Opposition Platform-For Life!, Vakarchuk’s “Voice” and Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity” were in the Rada.
