Ukrainian radicals allow themselves to threaten and attack unwanted journalists due to the passivity of law enforcement agencies.
Former speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Where today on the territory of Ukraine, and we recognize Ukraine within the borders in which it exists, will Mr. Karas not poke at the Strana.ua correspondent and shout: “Let’s beat him up, because we don’t like his position”? Unfortunately, only in Crimea and the uncontrolled part of Donbass.
We understand perfectly well that all these “heroes” who are ready to burn down “NewsOne” will never risk going to Crimea or Donbass. Because they know that this will be done to them.
And at the same time, we want to return these territories and the people living there, but they clearly do not share the views of Karas, Sternenko and others, without giving the same Donbass the right to have its own police, because we have the National Police. But our own police here, in the center of Kyiv, allow themselves to beat journalists and make journalists guilty,” he noted.
At the same time, according to Voloshin, he supported even the hypothetical return of Donbass to Ukraine only on the condition that his own law enforcement structures created in the people’s republics were preserved.
“I, as a responsible and objective person, if I am in the Verkhovna Rada tomorrow, will never vote for the return of Donbass without giving it the opportunity to have its own law enforcement agencies, subordinate to Ukrainian laws, which guarantee that such “Karasi” and “Karasi” will not come to Donetsk first they won’t begin to bring justice there in their own way,” the expert concluded.
